15,6-Inch Slim Laptop Review: 16GB, 512GB, Full HD, Backlit Keyboard

## Introduction

The 15.6-inch Slim Laptop review focuses on a device with a 16 GB memory, 512 GB SSD storage, Full HD screen and a backlit keyboard. Its slim design, range of ports, fingerprint reader and one-year warranty make it a great option for students, home users and office workers. However, there is a complication with the processor that requires additional research from the buyer.

## 1. Processor For Everyday Use

The laptop has a Pentium Gold and an Intel Core i3-6100 processor as mentioned in the title. On the other hand, the product description mentions a four-core, four-thread Alder Lake Y6500 CPU. There is no specific statement about the processor.

This is an important detail because it defines the applications that can run on the laptop, the number of simultaneously open windows and tabs, the speed of the overall performance, and the power consumption. It is critical to clarify with the seller which processor is actually included in the laptop.

Depending on the type of CPU, the 15.6-inch laptop can support everyday use including online surfing, social media use, online classes, email access, movie watching, and simultaneous applications. If the processor is powerful enough, it will support multitasking and running all the applications smoothly.

## 16 GB DDR3 and 512 GB NVMe Storage

As mentioned above, the laptop has a 16 GB of memory and 512 GB SSD storage. This is enough for everyday use and simultaneous applications.

16 GB DDR3 : The amount of RAM defines the number of simultaneously running applications and the stability of the system. In addition, the performance of the processor also affects the power of the device.

512 GB NVMe : This amount of storage is ideal for storing data in notebooks. The user can store their files, documents, pictures, videos, and class materials in this storage. In addition, there is a Micro TF card slot to expand the memory and transfer data from the cards.

The speed and performance of the laptop will also depend on this particular SSD. The seller notes that the NVMe is 30% faster than the SATA. However, this depends on the hardware that is used.

## 15,6-Inch Full HD IPS Display

The laptop has a 15.6-inch Full HD IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. It is suitable for everyday use and covers most of the required aspects of the user, from work to entertainment. The aspect ratio of 16:9 is perfect for online classes, documents, web surfing, and watching TV series and movies. The IPS screen also means that the user will be able to see the image clearly even at large viewing angles.

## Backlit Keyboard and Fingerprint Reader

The laptop has a backlit keyboard and a fingerprint reader. The former allows the user to type in the dark. On the other hand, the latter is a security feature that allows the user to log in without typing the password.

Both options are ideal for students and office workers who use their laptops on a daily basis for their studies, work, and other activities. The keyboard is backlit which means that the users can see the keys in the dark. Depending on the color of the light, it highlights the different keys which makes it easier to find them without looking at the keyboard.

As for the fingerprint sensor, it works on the operating system and the drivers, so its operation depends on these two aspects. Overall, the laptop has a range of additional features that make it a powerful device.

## Portability

According to the description, the laptop weighs 1.65 kg which makes it relatively light and easy to carry to different places. As a slim laptop, it is designed to be a bigger size without being heavy and bulky. The intended purpose of the device is students, home users and office workers.

Thus, it is ideal for those who need to use it during their commute or to carry it from one room to another. In addition, the laptop can be used in online classes at home or university and during work in the office.

However, despite the fact that the weight is given, the exact size and capacity of the battery are not stated. Therefore, the overall portability and convenience depend on these parameters as well.

## Ports

The laptop has a variety of ports because it is intended for everyday use both at home and outside.

USB 3.0 : This is a standard USB port that allows connecting a variety of devices including a mouse, keyboard or flash drive.

Mini HDMI : This port allows connecting the laptop to an external monitor or television via a cable or an adapter.

Headphone jack : Using this jack, users can connect their wired headphones or headsets to the laptop.

Micro TF card slot : As mentioned above, this slot allows expanding the memory of the laptop or transferring data from the TF cards.

Bluetooth : This feature allows connecting a variety of devices including wireless mice, keyboards, headphones and more.

Charging port : The laptop can be charged through this port and the corresponding charging cable.

All of these ports are perfect for creating a workspace at home, in the classroom or in the office.

## Pre-Loaded Operating System and Warranty

The laptop comes with a pre-installed operating system. Therefore, it is not necessary to spend time and energy installing it. However, the operating system is not indicated. On the other hand, the seller offers a one-year warranty and 24/7 customer support.

Therefore, before purchasing the laptop, it is necessary to find out exactly what operating system is installed, what the warranty covers and what the return policy is in case the customer is not satisfied with the purchase.
