Skullcandy Crusher ANC 2 Review: Powerful Bass, Adjustable ANC and Long Battery Life
The Skullcandy Crusher ANC 2 Wireless Headphones in Preppy Blue are designed for listeners who want more than ordinary headphone sound. With Skullcandy's patented Multi-Sensory Crusher Bass, adjustable Active Noise Cancelling, a long-lasting battery, personalized sound controls, and Multipoint pairing, these over-ear headphones are built for music, movies, gaming, studying, travel, and workouts.
Multi-Sensory Crusher Bass You Can Feel
The signature feature of the Crusher ANC 2 is its Multi-Sensory Crusher Bass technology. The headphones use two full-range 40mm audio drivers along with dual bass drivers to create a bass experience that goes beyond simply hearing low frequencies.
The additional bass response is designed to produce a more physical, immersive sensation, making bass-heavy music, movies, and other entertainment more engaging.
For listeners who enjoy powerful low-end sound, this is one of the most distinctive aspects of the Crusher ANC 2.
Adjustable 4-Mic Active Noise Cancelling
The headphones feature adjustable 4-microphone Active Noise Cancelling, allowing users to reduce surrounding noise while listening.
This can be particularly useful in busy environments such as:
Airports and travel
Public transportation
Gyms
Offices
Coffee shops
Study areas
The adjustable nature of the ANC gives you more control over how much outside sound you want to reduce.
Stay-Aware Mode
When you need to hear what's happening around you, the Crusher ANC 2 provides a Stay-Aware mode. This gives users an alternative to completely isolating themselves from their surroundings.
Being able to switch between Active Noise Cancelling and Stay-Aware modes makes the headphones more adaptable to different environments.
Up to 60 Hours of Battery Life
Battery life is another major strength. The Crusher ANC 2 provides up to 60 hours of listening with ANC turned off, giving users plenty of playback time between charges.
For frequent travelers or people who use headphones throughout the day, having a large battery capacity can reduce the need to recharge frequently.
The Rapid Charge feature adds further convenience. According to the listed specifications, just 10 minutes of charging provides up to 4 hours of listening.
Personalized Sound with the Skullcandy App
The Crusher ANC 2 works with the Skullcandy App, allowing users to customize their listening experience.
With Personal Sound by Mimi, users can personalize their sound profile. The app also provides access to listening modes and EQ adjustments, allowing you to fine-tune the headphones according to your preferences.
This is useful because not every listener wants the same sound signature. Some may prefer stronger bass, while others may want a more balanced presentation.
Multipoint Pairing for Two Devices
The Multipoint Pairing feature allows the headphones to connect to two devices at the same time.
This can be especially convenient if you regularly switch between a laptop and smartphone. Instead of manually disconnecting and reconnecting every time you move between devices, the headphones can transition between the two connected devices.
For work, study, and everyday multitasking, this can save time and make wireless headphone use more convenient.
Over-Ear Design for Everyday Use
The Crusher ANC 2 uses an over-ear design, making it suitable for extended listening sessions across different environments.
Whether you're studying at home, traveling, working out, gaming, or simply relaxing with music, the over-ear format is designed to provide an immersive listening experience.
The Preppy Blue finish also gives the headphones a distinctive appearance compared with more traditional black or neutral headphone colors.
Great for Music, Movies and Gaming
The combination of large 40mm drivers and Crusher Bass technology makes the Crusher ANC 2 particularly interesting for entertainment.
Music can benefit from the strong bass response, while movies and games can feel more immersive when low-frequency effects are emphasized.
At the same time, the customizable EQ and Personal Sound features allow users to adjust the presentation instead of being locked into one sound profile.
Who Should Consider the Crusher ANC 2?
These headphones are well suited for users who prioritize:
Powerful, physical-feeling bass
Adjustable Active Noise Cancelling
Long battery life
Personalized sound
Wireless listening
Two-device Multipoint connectivity
Travel and commuting
Gym and workout use
Studying and focused listening
Music, movies, and gaming
Users who prefer a more neutral or restrained bass presentation may want to take the Crusher Bass focus into account before purchasing.
1-Year USA Limited Warranty
The listed package includes a 1-year USA limited warranty, providing additional coverage for eligible purchases in accordance with the warranty terms.
Buyers should review the warranty conditions and regional eligibility, particularly if purchasing or using the headphones outside the United States.
