Heavy-Duty 6FT Metal Power Strip Review – 8 Outlets with Surge Protection

The Heavy-Duty Metal Power Strip with 8 Outlets is a practical power management solution designed for offices, workshops, garages, workbenches, and home workspaces. Featuring a sturdy metal housing, wide-spaced outlets, built-in surge protection, and a 6-foot 14AWG extension cord, this power strip offers convenient access to multiple power connections while helping organize your workspace.

8 Wide-Spaced Outlets for Large Plugs

One of the key highlights of this power strip is its eight wide-spaced outlets. With approximately 0.55-inch spacing between sockets, it is designed to accommodate larger plugs and bulky power adapters more conveniently than tightly packed outlets.

This makes it useful for powering various equipment and accessories, including:

  • Office electronics and desktop accessories.

  • Workshop tools and workbench equipment.

  • Chargers and power adapters.

  • Home entertainment devices.

  • Compatible appliances and electronics.

The wide spacing helps reduce the frustration of blocked sockets when using larger plugs.

Heavy-Duty Metal Construction

The power strip features a durable metal shell designed for everyday use in demanding environments. Its sturdy construction makes it suitable for garages, workshops, offices, and home workspaces where a reliable power strip is useful.

The metal housing also gives the unit a professional appearance, making it a practical addition to a standing desk, workbench, or office setup.

Wall-Mountable Design

The built-in mounting holes and included four screws allow users to mount the power strip on a wall, workbench, or suitable piece of furniture.

This wall-mountable design helps keep power connections organized and accessible. It can be particularly useful under desks, on workbenches, or in workshops where floor space is limited.

1200J Surge Protection

The power strip includes a built-in 1200-joule surge protector MOV module designed to help protect connected electronics against certain electrical surges.

This is a useful feature for office equipment, chargers, and other compatible electronics. However, surge protection is not a guarantee against all electrical damage, and users should follow the manufacturer's safety guidelines.

6FT 14AWG Heavy-Duty Power Cord

The included 6-foot 14AWG power cord provides useful reach for connecting the power strip to a wall outlet or other suitable power source.

The 14AWG cable is designed for heavy-duty power applications within the strip's rated limits. Its length makes it convenient for workbenches, desks, and other setups where the wall outlet is not immediately nearby.

Power Switch and Electrical Specifications

The power strip includes a convenient on/off switch, allowing users to control connected devices without unplugging them individually.
