Samsung 32" S3 S39GD Curved Monitor Review

The Samsung 32" S3 (S39GD) Series is more than a traditional computer monitor. With a curved Full HD panel, 100Hz refresh rate, built-in speakers, USB-C, HDMI, USB-A, Smart TV apps, Samsung Vision AI, and Gaming Hub, it is designed to serve as an all-in-one display for work, entertainment, and casual gaming.

Key Features

  • 32-inch curved Full HD display: The large curved screen creates a more immersive viewing experience while helping reduce peripheral distractions.

  • 100Hz refresh rate: Provides smoother scrolling, video playback, and gaming than standard 60Hz displays, with reduced motion blur.

  • Samsung Vision AI: Adds smart features intended to enhance the viewing and entertainment experience.

  • Smart TV apps: You can access supported streaming and entertainment apps without necessarily connecting a separate streaming device.

  • Gaming Hub: Provides convenient access to supported gaming services and gaming-related features.

  • Game optimization: Adjustable image and contrast settings can make dark scenes easier to see and help improve visibility during gaming.

  • Built-in speakers: Integrated audio eliminates the need for separate desktop speakers for basic entertainment.

  • USB-C connectivity: Makes it easier to connect compatible laptops and other devices through a modern single-cable connection.

  • HDMI and USB-A: Provides additional connectivity for computers, peripherals, and other devices.

  • Eye comfort technology: TÜV-certified features help reduce blue-light exposure and screen flicker for more comfortable long sessions.

  • Clean white design: The white finish gives the monitor a modern appearance that can work well in minimalist desk setups.

Pros

✅ Large 32-inch curved screen
✅ Smooth 100Hz refresh rate
✅ Smart TV functionality
✅ Samsung Vision AI
✅ Gaming Hub
✅ Built-in speakers
✅ USB-C connectivity
✅ HDMI and USB-A ports
✅ Eye-comfort features
✅ Immersive curved design

Cons

❌ Full HD resolution is relatively modest for a 32-inch display
❌ 100Hz is good for casual gaming but not aimed at high-refresh competitive gaming
❌ Smart features may be unnecessary for users who only need a basic PC monitor
❌ Curved design isn't ideal for everyone, especially users doing precision-oriented creative work

Work & Productivity

The 32-inch size gives you plenty of screen real estate for everyday productivity. It's useful for having multiple windows open simultaneously, working with documents, browsing the web, watching tutorials, or managing spreadsheets.

The curved design can also make a large screen feel more natural to view from a typical desk position.

Gaming & Entertainment

The 100Hz refresh rate is a nice upgrade over traditional 60Hz monitors and should provide noticeably smoother movement in supported games and videos. Samsung's Gaming Hub and game optimization features add extra convenience for casual gamers.

However, serious competitive gamers may want a monitor with a higher refresh rate and potentially a higher resolution. This model is better suited to casual gaming and mixed entertainment than esports-focused setups.

Verdict

The Samsung 32" S3 S39GD is an attractive choice for users who want a large curved monitor that doubles as an entertainment display. Its combination of Smart TV apps, Samsung Vision AI, Gaming Hub, built-in speakers, USB-C, and 100Hz refresh rate makes it considerably more versatile than a basic office monitor.

The main compromise is the Full HD resolution on a 32-inch screen. If maximum sharpness for text, photo editing, or detailed creative work is your priority, a 1440p or 4K monitor would be preferable. But for everyday work, streaming, casual gaming, and general entertainment, this Samsung offers a well-rounded package.

Overall Rating: ⭐ 4.0

Best for: Home offices, streaming, casual gaming, multitasking, entertainment, students, and users wanting a monitor/Smart TV hybrid.

Their open-ear design sits outside the ear canal, while the adjustable earhooks help keep the earbuds secure during running, workouts, commuting, and everyday activities. What I Like The biggest advantage is the open-ear design . Instead of blocking the ear canal, the X-Open lets you hear environmental sounds while listening to music or podcasts. This makes them especially useful for outdoor activities where situational awareness is important. The adjustable earhooks provide a secure fit without requiring constant readjustment. They are designed to stay in place during movement, making them a practical option for runners and active users.
